Bayer to Participate in Funders Panel at the Emerging Philanthropy Conference
Pittsburgh; April 26, 2012 -- Rebecca Lucore, Executive Director of the Bayer USA Foundation and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Bayer Corporation (USA), will participate in the Founders Panel at the Emerging Philanthropy Conference in Southpointe, Pa., on April 26, 2012. The 2012 conference, sponsored by the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council (PPGC), will focus on the theme "making it work."
The panel's goal is to help fundraisers understand how funding priorities shift in challenging economic times, provide tips on pursuing funding in a down economy and explain what makes a proposal stand out, as only a fraction of them can be funded.
Additional panelists include Bob Connolly, Executive Director of Massey Charitable Trust, and Kirk Utzinger, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County.
